Factions in the Ginnungagap

The base setting of D&D 5E uses five factions that tie characters to the world with contacts, adventuring goals and potential adventures themselves.
The Emerald Enclave, Harpers, Lord’s Alliance, Order of the Gauntlet and Zhentarim work for Faerun, but I wanted to have the option for the Ginnungagap, so I thought about modifying the factions or creating my own.

Here’s what I’ve come up with so far. I want to write a few more factions, but I haven’t got there yet. I have a couple ready for Svartaelfheim, and I want to move away from a direct one for one swap with the normal D&D factions.

The Combine
The Æsr Combine is the old government of the Nine Worlds, led by the Aesir from Asgard, wherever they’ve gone.

The Network
A conspiracy of likeminded ne’er-do-wells, as well as some of the nastiest dregs of the Nine Worlds.

The Iron Brotherhood
In some parts of the Nine Worlds, the Brotherhood is the defacto police force and militia, in others they’re a well-armed bunch of bandits.

The Althing
A council of leaders and thinkers of the world of Midgard, working with each other to better face the cruel reality of Fimbulwinter.

The Holtmoot
From out of the wilds, the agents of the Holtmoot come to preserve life and the natural world, so long as it doesn’t become too hostile to sentient life.
