Legend of the Five Rings

I really enjoyed the Legend of the 5 Rings games that I played at university, and I took the chance to run my new group through the new 4th Edition rules (I’d previously only played 1st!)

I had a lot of fun running the guys through a modified version of the Topaz Championship, the adventure in the back of the 1st edition core book.
The setting was a big hit, but I did have to handwave a few things (the historical context of a few things was a bit off, but I was happy with it in the end).
After the tournament, once everyone had a better understanding of the rules of the game, I ran through the wedding of my old character, something that’s been buzzing around in my head for a few years now.
I was really happy with how it turned out, and how I managed to echo those very first games of L5R I played back in 2006.

Actual play reports:

Topaz Championship part 1

Topaz Championship part 2
Part 3 fell by the wayside, and I’ve forgotten most of what happened now sadly.

Wedding Part 1
Parts 2, 3 and 4 are also long forgotten. A cavalry charge on some goblins may have been an event?
