RPGaDay 2020 prompt 28 – Close

Well, I’m in the home stretch now and close to the end of this year’s writing prompts, so it’s time to think about what I’m going to write about once all this is over.

Back in 2011 and 2012, I wrote a handful of posts for the website Troll in the Corner. I’d link to it there, but it seems to have been down for some time – I don’t know why, I stopped visiting for a while and forgot I’d even had stuff published there until recently.
I used the Wayback Machine to pull my old content from there, so I have a handful of very old posts to throw up. I’ll be writing a forward to most of them and fiddling with links where necessary.

I have a couple of One Page Campaign Openers half-written that I need to finish up – one for Beyond the Pale and another for the Old Crown. That last has been a long time coming, so hopefully I can do it justice. I have a couple more that are entirely notes at this point – including one for Dresden Files in Vegas, the notes for which were written before the Paranet Papers supplement was released.

I’m going to sort through my settings and try and build the page layout properly for them. Currently, there’s multiple posts for a couple of settings but they aren’t collected in a way that makes them easily found.
I’m going to build a couple more inspiration pages as well, similar to the Planescape Inspiration page but for Ostromarka and Endless Sea and Out West and Ginnungagap. I might think about breaking things down into published settings and homebrew as well, but I haven’t gotten that far ahead in my thinking yet.

I’ll be updating Appendix ï with some more material shortly, filling in those mostly blank entries and adding some more stuff in. I’m really happy with how it’s turned out, and between it and the setting specific inspiration stuff above, I hope to have an actual resource people might use.

I’m still working on my Saurial/Spellweaver/Planescape/Spelljammer adventure series. That’s slow going, but it’s still early days. I have the broad strokes outlined for the whole thing, and I know which bits are happening in each adventure. That’s the easy bit though!

And then I just have to rearrange and reorganise the site, since I’ve thought of a better way to have that done, mostly as a change to the menu above.

Plenty to be getting on with!
